Recently, there is a constant voice on LinkedIn related to mentorships. As a recent graduate, I went on LinkedIn to seek mentorship and to find someone who can review my portfolio. To my surprise, LinkedIn being one the perfect platform for professional networking, I couldn’t find any feature that would help me find mentors. I checked out my connection list to see if anybody with a professional experience in related background could review my work. I messaged few people but either there was no response or they were busy. Instead of messaging mindlessly, I dived deeper into LinkedIn’s content, searched for hashtags such as #mentorships, #givingbacktothecommunity and many more to figure out the actual issues and the real “user needs”.
